TrueKinds Foundation is committed to handling donations responsibly and transparently. We appreciate the generosity of every donor who wishes to support our mission of promoting kindness, compassion, social responsibility and positive change.
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances in which a donation refund may be requested, how donation errors are handled, and the conditions applicable to income-tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961, where applicable.
By making a donation through our website or an authorised payment channel, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
Donations made to TrueKinds Foundation are voluntary contributions intended to support its charitable objectives and activities.
Once a donation has been successfully completed and received, it is generally treated as a voluntary contribution and is not automatically refundable or cancellable.
However, we understand that genuine errors can occur. Refund requests involving duplicate payments, incorrect transaction amounts, unauthorised transactions or technical payment errors may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Any refund will be subject to verification, the circumstances of the transaction, applicable law and the terms of the payment service provider.
A donor may contact TrueKinds Foundation to request a review of a donation in circumstances such as the following:
-
Duplicate payment: The same donation appears to have been charged more than once for a single intended contribution.
-
Incorrect donation amount: An amount different from the amount intended by the donor was processed due to a demonstrable technical or transaction error.
-
Failed transaction with a debit: The donor’s account was debited, but the donation was not successfully recorded or received by the Foundation.
-
Unauthorised transaction: A transaction is reported as unauthorised and requires investigation.
-
Other exceptional circumstances: A genuine issue is identified that warrants review under applicable law or the Foundation’s procedures.
Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval. Each request will be reviewed based on the available transaction information and relevant circumstances.
Except where a refund is required by applicable law or approved following a review, donations that have been successfully processed and received by TrueKinds Foundation are generally non-refundable.
A refund may not ordinarily be available merely because a donor changes their mind after making a voluntary contribution or because the Foundation has already allocated or used the donation for its charitable objectives.
This provision does not restrict any rights that donors may have under applicable law.
To request a donation refund, please contact us using the official details below.
Email: info@truekindsfoundation.com
Phone / WhatsApp: +91 9144302240
Please include the following information in your request:
-
Donor’s name.
-
Registered email address or contact number, if applicable.
-
Donation date and amount.
-
Transaction ID, payment reference number or UPI reference, where available.
-
Reason for requesting the refund.
-
Relevant payment confirmation or supporting documentation.
For security reasons, do not share your UPI PIN, banking password, card PIN, OTP or other payment authentication credentials.
We may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction and assess the request.
After receiving a refund request, TrueKinds Foundation will review the information provided and may verify the transaction with the relevant bank, payment gateway or payment service provider.
If a refund is approved, it will generally be initiated through the original payment method wherever practicable and legally permissible.
The time required for the refund to appear in the donor’s account may depend on the bank, payment gateway, payment method and other processing requirements. We will communicate any available information about the refund process where appropriate.
If a transaction is still pending or has failed, the donor may also need to contact their bank or payment service provider.
A donation that has already been successfully processed and received generally cannot be cancelled simply by submitting a cancellation request.
If you believe that a donation was submitted accidentally, processed incorrectly or made without your authorisation, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can review the circumstances.
Where a payment is still pending, cancellation may depend on whether the payment service provider permits it.
Recurring donations, if offered through an authorised platform, may be subject to separate cancellation procedures. Donors should follow the cancellation instructions provided by that platform or contact TrueKinds Foundation for assistance.
Cancelling a future recurring payment does not automatically reverse donations that have already been successfully processed.
TrueKinds Foundation recognises that eligible donors may wish to claim an income-tax deduction for their contributions.
Important: A donation to TrueKinds Foundation will qualify for a deduction under Section 80G only if the Foundation holds the required valid approval for the relevant period, the donation satisfies the applicable legal conditions, and the donor meets the relevant eligibility requirements.
Registration as a company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, or registration under another applicable law, does not by itself establish eligibility for a Section 80G deduction.
Where TrueKinds Foundation has the required valid Section 80G approval and the donation qualifies, the Foundation will comply with applicable reporting and certification requirements, including filing Form 10BD and issuing Form 10BE where required.
The donor’s actual deduction will depend on the applicable provisions of tax law, the category of eligible donation, the donor’s circumstances and the tax regime under which the deduction may be claimed.
Information donors should know
-
A Section 80G deduction is not necessarily equal to the full amount donated.
-
